It has been confirmed that Ryanair will close their website for 3 days to undertake changes set in place by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT). Ryanair were ordered to update all of their prices to include taxes and additional charges as not to mislead customers when booking a flight, however the deadline of January wasn’t met causing Ryanair to now take drastic actions.
The site will be closed for 3 days from 22:00 (GMT) on 22 February until 23:59 (GMT) on 25 February for the changes to take place.
The closure is set to cost ryanair a staggering £20 million. During this time the phone lines will also be closed, meaning that customers will not be able to cancel or change existing flights. So if you are with the carrier make sure to work around these times and dates.
